Posting Guidelines
My Dolls
• Only list dolls that you own currently
• Dolls that you no longer own should be archived, deleted, or transferred to another user
• Include accurate information about your doll's head, body, and customization
• Doll's main image should be an image of your own BJD, other images like drawings etc can be posted elsewhere
• Don't set a doll to active & public until it has at least a main image which is a picture of a real doll, otherwise you can use private, waiting list, or a project
Image Quality
• Upload clear, well-lit photos of your dolls
• Images are automatically resized to 1000x1000 pixels and compressed for optimal performance
• Accepted formats: JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, HEIC
• Large images will be automatically processed by the server and may be crunchy as a result - try keeping your images below 1000x1000 pixels and under 1MB
Content Guidelines
• Only post content related to Ball Jointed Dolls (BJDs)
• Be respectful and kind to other community members
• Provide accurate information when submitting new entries
• Include proper credits when sharing dolls that are not your own (aka group photos)
Submission Guidelines
• When submitting new companies, sculpts, or bodies, provide as much accurate information as possible
• The main image for a doll should be a real photo, not a 3D render or other image
• Use clear and descriptive names for your submissions
• Include relevant details such as scale, resin color, and company information
• Wait for admin approval before your submission appears publicly
Reviews and Comments
• Write honest and constructive reviews
• Be respectful when commenting on others' dolls
• Avoid spam or repetitive content
• Report inappropriate content using the report feature
Prohibited Content
• No hate speech, harassment, or bullying
• No spam or promotional content unrelated to BJDs
• No false or misleading information
• No real nudity or real lewdness
Doll Terminology
Company
The manufacturer or brand that creates BJDs. Examples include Volks, Luts, Soom, etc. Each company may produce multiple sculpts and bodies.
Sculpt
The head/body combo of a doll.
Head
The head/face sculpt of a BJD. A head may be connected to none or many bodies.
Body
The body type of a BJD, which determines the proportions and poseability. Bodies can be full body, torso-only, or specific body styles (e.g., slim, mature, chubby). Bodies are often compatible with multiple heads from the same company. Bodies may have optional parts.
Resin Color
The color of the resin or material used to cast the doll per company. Common colors include normal skin, white skin, tan skin, and various fantasy colors.
Doll Line
A series or collection of dolls from a company that share a common theme, style, or world setting. Doll lines may include multiple sculpts and bodies that are designed to work together.
If the company's lines are just sizes (1/3, etc) dont' submit as a doll line.
Scale/Size Options
The size of the doll, typically measured in centimeters or by scale ratio (1/3, 1/4, 1/6, etc.).
Faceup
The painted face details on a BJD, including eyebrows, eyes, lips, and blush. Faceups can be done by the company (factory faceup) or by artists (custom faceup). Some dolls come blank (no faceup) for custom painting.
Style
- human - has all human features
- fantasy - has fantasy features such as elf ears, wings, hooves
- creatures - has creature features without a human head
- anime - has anime features
- realistic - has realistic human features
